Clemens Poole & Joe Riley with Olena Chervonik
Clemens Poole and Joe Riley will discuss their recent work in Ukraine with curator Olena Chervonik. The discussion will focus on the story of the Donetsk-based arts foundation, IZOLYATSIA, their exile to Kyiv during the current conflict, and their struggle to maintain their role as a platform for cultural initiatives during the violent political changes facing the country. Olena Chervonik is the head curator of IZOLYATSIA, and is currently based in New York. Clemens Poole curated and organized a public installations project, ZAHOPLENNYA, this fall in Kyiv. Joe Riley was a contributing artist to ZAHOPLENNYA, with his work RADIO CHAIN.
